The inside label read F. Breton brevete de ?? the following name is rubbed out then Me.la duchesse, body is surface scratched and quite a lot of the varnish top layer is missing in places consistant with use, there is a crack in the right hand domed side and some other scratches to the body and neck, quite worn in places as well no obvious evidence of any wood worm a few surface chips all consistant with use.
