A 19th century Blue John campana form urn, with brass column and slate base, overall height 12.5cm, diameter 7.5cm
Estimate £100 - £150Sold for £620
There are a number of chips on the underside of the rim, all of which are old and possibly from around the time this was made. Any cracks in the blue john seem to be natural striations or flaws. The body is made from 2 sections of blue john. There is a guilt metal collar around the stem which may be hiding previous damage. Black slate base is the original and seems untouched.
