A large 19th century glaze Majolica pottery jardiniere, with supporting cherubs and grapevine swags, length 49cm
Estimate £50 - £80
The Majolica jardiniere has an old staple repair which is clearly visible from the photographs. There is one 3cm chip along the top edge and then another 1.5cm chip along the top edge with some of the crack running through those, again should be visible. Numerous other small surface glazing chips around the top edge and body. The cherubs all have some degree of damage to their feet, one of them has lost it completely, again surface glazing chips to those and the shell bowls as well, but still a nice looking piece.
