An early 20th century British Army Cavalry sword, with pierced Maltese cross basket hilt, and blade marked WD with British Broad Arrow, blade length 87cm, in original scabbard

The sword is in fair overall condition, no obvious repairs. The blade is fairly clean but there is evidence of pitting and cleaned rust areas. The tip of the blade is missing. There is a war department sypher near the hilt and the crown with the number 30 underneath it and E beneath it. Impressed marks to the other side '90' is visible, the rest is rubbed and not readable. Hilt is rusty all over, surface wear and dents etc but no splits. The handle has a couple of chips in it, otherwise just wear, age and use in keeping with the rest of the sword.


Blade length is 87.5cm, overall length is 101cm.


Scabbard is in used condition with all over rust, surface scratches and signs of wear.


Scabbard length is 90cm.
