7 volumes Cook's Voyages, Shakespeare, and Dickens

This is a complete set of 8 volumes, all have been dedicated to Eliz-Butler Wilson 1775. All have been signed on the front page J B Pompfret? in top right hand corner.


Volume 2: has a several half loose pages, so the book does not shut flat.


Volume 4: has some worm holes through the first few pages, and some loose pages.


Volume 5: a couple of loose pages.


Volume 7: has some holes through the first 80-90 pages, and pages 83, 82, 86 are loose.


Volume 8: also has a few odd pages with worm holes.


All books have some foxing to the pages, leather covering is quite worn and split to the spines, rubbed edges, all fairly consistent with age and use. Overall in fairly good original condition.


Unfortunately all the books have a very heavy smell of smoke about them.

The Life and Adventure of Martin Chuzlewitt: edited by Boz 1844, vol 1 & 2, half leather bound, fair overall condition, some foxing to the pages, leather rubbed consistent with age and use.


7 volumes half leather bound, Cook's Voyages, dated 1809.


The title page in all books has been written on unfortunately (see additional photos). Foxing to all books and obvious wear.


The first title pages: Works of Shakespeare Volumes is dated 1735 (MDCXXV), but the next title page is dated 1734 (MDCCXXXIV).
