Coins, Weapons & Militaria

There is a huge demand for militaria and weapons, and our monthly antique sales always contain a good selection. Items of particular interest that have sold recently include a gold RAF wings brooch given by Guy Gibson of the Dambusters to his secretary the day before he died, which sold for £9,000. Also a military portrait and medals awarded to Brigadier-general Oglander, which sold for £8,000.

Weapons sold recently include a Victorian Scottish dirk from the Queen’s Cameron Highlanders, which sold for £3,600, and a Katar knife which sold for £3,000.

Coins and medals are also always in high demand, in particular gold coins and medallions.
