JOB VACANCY: Auction Room Assistant and Valuer
A rare opportunity has arisen for a full time position with us, working as part of an enthusiastic team, in an extremely busy and exciting business for our long established family firm.
The job includes:
Visiting clients in the company van - advising them of auction values and the auction process while collecting their items for sale.
Working at both of our sites in Battle - valuing and accepting items for sale, responding to email and telephone enquiries, scheduling appointments for van collections, helping catalogue (and photograph) items for sale, general portering duties, assisting on the auction days with live internet bidding alongside many other interesting and varied duties.
Applicants should be willing and able to lift furniture and must have an interest in art, antiques and collectables. A large part of this job will involve a working knowledge of the current market.
At least 1 years previous experience in the antiques/auction field would be preferable.
A full driving licence is essential.
Full time: Monday to Friday (9.00am - 5.30pm) and some Saturday mornings.
