Princess Elizabeth's Baby Clothes Appear at Auction

20th September 2017

The September Antique Sale features an historic collection of Royal baby clothing once belonging to Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret. Part of the selection includes a very delicate peach silk baby coat and a picture of Princess Elizabeth wearing the very same coat.

Alongside this impressive lot is a pair of Mickey and Minnie Mouse toys, which also originally belonged to Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret.

All of these items were given to the Royal Nanny, Clara 'Allah' Knight, in the 1920s and 30s, who then sent them as gifts to her family in Sussex. Clara Knight's silk full length dress is another particularly interesting lot in the upcoming sale.

All of the Royal items take centre stage as the first 7 lots in the sale.
