Attention all music aficionados and collectors alike! Burstow & Hewett Auctioneers are excited to present a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own pieces of rock 'n' roll history. On the 28th of March, at The Abbey Auction Gallery in Battle, East Sussex, we will be selling an extraordinary collection belonging to none other than Mitch Mitchell, the legendary drummer of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
The star of the collection is a gold disc awarded to Mitchell and his bandmates for the monumental achievement of selling over 500,000 copies of the album "Electric Ladyland". We also have a large collection of cherished drums, cymbals, and used drum sticks and cases, one of which is stamped with his name and "J H Experience"
Among the other items up for auction are rare photographs capturing intimate moments both on and off stage, providing a window into the life of a rock star during the height of the 1960s music scene. Additionally, the collection includes fan letters, a testament to the impact Mitchell's music had on audiences around the world.
